As part of the institutional commitment to the region, the project aimed at creating the Social Interaction Policy of the University of Cauca was socialized at the North Headquarters.

Topics such as the construction of the policy of social interaction, the regularization of regionalized programs and the advances of the University Citadel were discussed in the session of the Academic Council that was held at the North Headquarters, in the municipality of Santander de Quilichao.

“Our commitment is to continue encouraging social interaction processes, and in that order Santander de Quilichao with the North Headquarters is at the heart of the University of Cauca, so it is important to continue with academic, wellness, projection and articulation projects with the communities, among others, ”said the Academic Vice Chancellor, Luis Guillermo Jaramillo Echeverri. He highlighted the fact that in this space the social interaction policy has been socialized as part of the university's commitment to the region and to territorial peace.

Julián Andrés Vivas, student representative of the programs of the North Headquarters, said the importance of the presence of the Academic Council in Santander de Quilichao, a space in which several issues were discussed with the students, seeking solutions from the University Directorate that assumed the commitment to meet the requirements

The Director of the Regionalization Center, Álvaro René Restrepo, highlighted the realization of the Academic Council as a space to listen to students, looking for solutions to strengthen the university presence in the region.

The North Headquarters of the University of Cauca has five undergraduate programs: Public Accounting, Civil Engineering, Law, Bachelor of Modern Languages and Agroindustrial Engineering, in which there are students from different parts of the country. The Academic Council is made up of the Rector, the Vice Chancellors, Deans, Center Directors and representatives of the students, professors and the Workers' Union.
