After finishing their studies, 106 women for peace got accreditation from Unicauca.

Interlacing knowledge and women power for peace.

The Academic activity was developed in partnership with the Centre for Continuing Education, Open and Virtual, CECAV, Women Ecofeminists Corporation, Comunitar and la Ruta Pacifica de Mujeres.

The goal is to strength the participation of women and their organizations in peace building during and after the armed conflict in the departments of Cauca and Putumayo.

According to Socorro Corrales, director of Comunitar, issues such as access to land and land development for women, demilitarization of civilian life, transitional justice, the incidence of women in public politics and building a political agenda were addressed.

"This educational project is intended to advance the construction of a stable and lasting peace in Colombia and to strengthen the level of political participation of indigenous, farmers, urban African descent and the country's southwest women," she said.
