Physical Education, Recreation and Sports Program is committed to research in training

Students of the Bachelor of Basic Education programs with emphasis in Physical Education

Recreation and Sports and Bachelor of Physical Education, Recreation and Sports linked to different research seedbeds, participated during the Fourth Meeting of Research Seedbeds  in Cali and the First Seed Camp of Research in Popayán.

 

Cristian Mauricio Cuaycal Chamorro and Hamilton Sebastián Mellizo Hoyos of the Bachelor of Basic Education program with an emphasis on Physical Education, Recreation and Sports, participated in the Fourth Meeting of Research Seedbeds with the presentation: Analysis of Intercollegiate Games Get over it: soccer, futsal and basketball in the pre-youth category from the social justice in the city of Popayán Cauca.

 

The event that took place on November 12 at the National Institution of the National Sports School of the city of Santiago de Cali, aimed to motivate students to discover new ways of disseminating their academic proposals and integration of research seedbeds.

 

"This experience makes a significant contribution to us in our process of both academic and personal training, in the same way it feeds our knowledge of research through interaction with other groups that were part of the presentations," said the students who achieved a great reception by the university community of this context from the evaluators, professors, as speakers and assistants.

 

Students who are part of the seedbed in research In-action with their mentor Professor Erika Esmeralda Dávila Córdoba, presented their research proposal in the thematic area Education and sports sciences with thematic lines such as: Social responsibility, disability, sociological, etc.

 

Similarly, students of the Bachelor of Basic Education programs with an emphasis in Physical Education, Recreation and Sports and Bachelor of Physical Education, Recreation and Sports linked to the In-Action research seedbeds assigned to the Kon-Moción research group whose mentor is Professor Erika Esmeralda Dávila Córdoba, the Ubuntu  seedbed: education, motor skills and human development that is part of the URDIMBRE research group and her mentor is Professor John Jamer Quintero Tapia and SISAMO seedbed linked to the Health and Motor skills research group with her mentor Enmanuel Portilla Dorado, participated during the First research seedbed camp of the University of Cauca.

 

In the activity that took place at the Pisojé of Comfacauca Recreation Center from November 13 to 15, they participated with three posters:

 

From the In-action seedbed, ongoing investigations:

 

“Analysis of Intercollegiate games, get over it: soccer, futsal and basketball in the pre-youth category from the social justice in the city of Popayán Cauca” by Cristian Cuaycal Chamorro, Hamilton Mellizo Hoyos and David Tovar.

 

"Corporeal Expressions of the fanatics of the Colombian “Atletico Nacional” Professional football team of the seven commune of the city of Popayán-Cauca" by Santiago Agredo and Yamith Guaca, these were articulated to the thematic line Education and social innovation.

 

From the Sisamo Research Seedbed the poster was published: Lifestyles in administrative staff of the University of Cauca, who attend the healthy hour program in the first academic period of 2019 by Luis Mauricio Muñoz Quelal, Daniel Eduardo Valencia Rodríguez, Alexis Darío Ruiz Castillo on the Health and Wellness line.

 

At the end of the event, the Research seedbed In-Action achieved first place in the thematic line Education and social innovation with the poster of Cristian Cuaycal Chamorro, Hamilton Mellizo Hoyos and David Tovar. “There was the support of leaders, selected among the same participants and with the logistic organization of support staff, in addition a program was defined that included conferences and workshops during the three days, exhibition of posters by the research seedbeds and a part of recreation and integration at the end of each day, along with food, ”said the students.

During the First research seedbed camp, Valeria Hinestroza Velasco, Jhony Zuluaga Mejía, Ana Gabriela Cerón, Leidy Becerra, Andrés Chimunja and Luis Alberto Erazo also participated in different spaces as assistants.

 

The degree program in Physical Education, Recreation and Sports through mentors and students thanks the University of Cauca and, in particular, the Office of the Vice President of Research for supporting and stimulating initiatives that contribute to the processes of formative research from the seedbeds.
