Physical Therapy programs at the University of Cauca and the Universidad Mariana de Pasto strengthen their academic mobility
From October 9th to 13th, teachers and students from both academic programs engaged in various activities at the University of Cauca as part of their professional training processes.
The Physical Therapy programs at the University of Cauca and the Universidad Mariana de Pasto are strengthening their institutional ties and promoting academic mobility exercises. The visit to the Physical Therapy program at the University of Cauca took place from October 9th to 13th, involving teachers Diana Paola Astaìza, Dayana Cumbal, and Myriam Marcillo from the Neurological Practice, along with ten students, and teacher Jorge Luis Ahumada from the Public Health axis.
During the mobility exercise, teachers and students from the neurological practice of both universities had the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences at different practice sites and in the development of various workshops. To achieve this objective, they visited the Kinetic Development Laboratory belonging to the Physical Therapy program, the Plastination Area within the Department of Morphology, and the AR/VR Research Seedbed in Industry 4.0 at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, where they learned about projects developed in the area of rehabilitation and virtual reality.
On the other hand, teacher Jorge Luis Ahumada shared knowledge with students from semesters 3, 4, 5, and 10 through masterful academic activities and discussions to analyze experiences, tensions, and proposals that public health enables as a field of action for physical therapy. Likewise, a hybrid class was conducted with the participation of students from both universities.
Finally, teachers and students from the mobility program had a cultural tour of the Museum of Natural History, Mosquera House Museum, and the Pantheon of the Proceres.
