The Center for Quality Management and Institutional Accreditation extols and thanks the commitment, responsibility and diligence that was evidenced in each unit, in each faculty and in each program during the remote external audit regarding the ISO9001: 2015 standard, carried out by ICONTEC between May 14 and 21 of this year.

 

This way, the Audit Plan for the University of Cauca for the follow-up of the certification in ISO 9001: 2015 issued in 2019 by the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and ICONTEC Certification and which sought to review the design, development and provision of formal higher education services in undergraduate academic programs and provision of scientific and experimental research services in topics related to science, technology and innovation.

 

“As a result of the visit, the auditor Cristina Bedoya highlighted the passion with which the university community assumes the dynamics of continuous improvement, as well as the maturity reached by the quality management system in the short time of its implementation, in harmony with the accreditation guidelines”, said Miguel Hugo Corchuelo Mora, director of the Center for Quality Management and Institutional Accreditation.

 

The professor adds that this event constitutes a further sign of confidence for our institution and for society in general with regard to the quality and warmth of the education offered by the University of Cauca in its commitment to territorial peace.

 

The University of Cauca received in June 2019 the certification in the ISO 9001: 2015 standard for a period of three years, which is added to the renewal of the Institutional Accreditation for 8 years from the Ministry of National Education.
