Professors from the University of Cauca will be speakers at an international event.

Olver Quijano Valencia and Guillermo Martínez Pino will present their research work in Accounting sciences and its developments.

The professors will be participating in the ‘IX National and VII International Accounting Research and Teaching Symposium - Development and Perspectives of Latin American Accounting Thought ‘, to be held between May 29 and 30 at the University of Quindío.

Professors and coordinators of the Accounting Research Group, Society and Development (Category B Colciencias ) present " Latin American Thought . Between the history of ideas and located genealogy  of the practices "and" The mutations of capitalism and run out accounting discourse "

conference, Olver said Quijano indicating how the set comprised of academic knowledge practices that bypass Latin American thought. "It is a claim to the protagonists of the missing chapter complements the extensive Latin American experience to the understanding of the world"

Guillermo Martinez Pino , referred to his presentation as the ability to unravel the information that constitutes one of the pillars of society and also one of the main centers of growth and capital accumulation.

" While capitalism, despite its contradictions, is able to develop long-term strategies and guide their discourse and practice in terms of solving its recurrent crises, it does not happen the same with accounting as a discipline of knowledge," he added .

The Symposium is organized by the Colombian Financial Research Centre C- Five,  that promotes the confluence between academia and research and seeks to work developments and perspectives of Accounting Sciences from the Latin American conception.

Thus, it is an effort of cooperation led by the universities of Quindio , Valle , Manizales and our Alma Mater, which has motivated the participation of professors and students of Accounting program .
