Rectors of Unicauca and Univalle promote a project for the protection of the Magdalena and Cauca rivers

During the meeting that took place in Cali, the rectors Deibar René Hurtado Herrera and Edgar Varela Barrios finalized the details of this initiative that will involve various research groups.

The rectors of the Universidad del Cauca, Deibar René Hurtado Herrera, and of the Universidad del Valle, Edgar Varela Barrios, met in the last few hours to discuss a joint project with the Universidad del Atlántico, whose action plan will be implemented in the sister rivers Magdalena and Cauca.

During the meeting that took place in the city of Cali, the details of this strategic project for the country regarding water and the protection of basins were reviewed, from a multidisciplinary approach that will involve various research groups in Biological, Human Sciences and Arts.

The directives of the Universidad del Valle will share details of this initiative before the Academic Council of the Universidad del Cauca during the session that will take place on September 28 in Popayán.
