Student researchers from Unicauca present their initiatives in science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship

The students of Public Accounting, affiliated with the FIMA (Finance and Management) Research Seedbed, presented their research work during the III National Congress of Research and Entrepreneurship Seedbeds - CONASIE 2023.

The III National Congress of Research and Entrepreneurship Seedbeds - CONASIE 2023, which took place from September 20th to 22nd at the University of Córdoba (Montería), featured the presentation of 489 projects and the participation of 36 institutions from 21 departments across the country.

At the event, the University of Cauca participated with research projects from students of the Public Accounting program, affiliated with the FIMA (Finance and Management) Research Seedbed, accompanied by professors Norman Caldón and Eliana Fernández from the Finance and Management Study and Research Group (GREIFG).

The event brought together over 700 student speakers who shared significant initiatives and experiences in science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship in this educational research dissemination platform, which has been consolidating and positioning itself as one of the best in the country in terms of research seedbeds, allowing students to showcase their achievements in research and entrepreneurship.

During the event, the students from the University of Cauca presented the following works:

  • Relative efficiency of resources allocated to improvement actions in the accredited programs and those in the accreditation process at the University of Cauca during the years 2019-2023. Presented by Dulce María Álvarez Perafán.
  • Characterization of informal traders in the Historic Sector of the city of Popayán, regarding their financial capabilities. Students: Yessica Ortega Chate and Jean Carlos Rivera Zapata.
  • Strengthening economic and financial education in educational institutions in the city of Popayán through teacher training strategies. Student: Kevin Jesid Obando Tróchez.
