Unicauca and the Third Army Division strengthen inter-institutional relations.

Administrators of the University and the National Army Officers met to understand the mutual proposals for development work of the Department.

"With input from the academy, we can find empathy and build agreements that reach out more effectively to communities on issues such as media consolidation, productive projects, infrastructure, recreational tools and training opportunities," said General Mario Augusto Valencia Valencia.

The Academic Vice-rector, Edgar Velasquez Rivera, proposed a series of training opportunities on topics such as history, geopolitics and security to help strengthen interagency and nurturing relationships.

"At the University of Cauca there are a lot of options to focus academic graduate programs on possible relationships established at the schools, as well as  internship students and students working on their research work" he said.

In turn, the Rector of Unicauca, commented on the experience as something new as far as ideological prejudices to overcome in order to establish a development model that guarantees the rights of communities.

"As a public institution we will commit to these open mental and spiritual exercises to consolidate the relationship between the two institutions.  We want to offer an, conducive environment to find the peace consolidation in a country's development," he concluded.

The meeting was also attended by Vice Chancellors, Deans and officers Colonel Mauricio Peña Pedraza, coordinator of the GAC Group, Lieutenant Colonel Andrés Rodrigo Gamba Integral Action, Captain Andrew Penaranda Productive Projects, Mayor Rafael Hernández, Liaison and Alonso Quiroz, strategic communicator Division III.
