La Universidad -

The Union of Volunteer of Cauca, Univolca, conducted a cultural event with the Alma Mater Tuna in the Museum Guillermo Valencia.

UNESCO and UN established this date to highlight solidarity action activities undertaken by volunteering around the world.

Paloma Muñoz, who is the director of the Vice-rectory of Culture and Welfare, sent a message of congratulations and appreciation to the members of Univolca and students who are part of the University Community Service Volunteers VSSU, who organize their academic activities in service to society.

The VSSU, coordinated by Francisco Valencia, has received nearly 3,500 volunteers who have strengthened this cause, allowing the institution to cover rural communities in different sectors of Cauca fulfilling the social work.

"The group of student volunteers working on internal research projects, programs like Oreja de Van Gogh, in supporting partnerships with museums and other dynamics that develop in the university social field," said Paloma Muñoz.
