The University of Cauca General Secretariat made available to the university and community in information regarding the process to designate deans for the faculties.

Bearing in mind that Resolution 393 of 2017 contains the details of the process, the agenda and the timetable for presenting dean candidate for the positions for each faculties of the University of Cauca before the Governing Board, The only applicant for the above position is presented at the Faculty of Health Sciences.

 

Edgar Parra Romero

Professor Parra Romero is a Medical Surgeon at the University of Cauca and a Master's Degree in Public Health from Universidad del Valle, with a degree in Health Audit, Epidemiology and Qualitative Research. He has been attached to the Department of Social Medicine and Family Health since August 1998. He has held positions in the Faculty of Health Sciences as Department Head, Curricular Committee Coordinator, Teaching Staff Committee Coordinator, Secretary General, Program Coordinator , Postgraduate Committee Coordinator (in-charge) and Dean (in-charge).

 

Proposal

Faculty Health Sciences: Relevant integral training with social responsibility. An approach and proposal to the deanship exercise of the F.C.S. In accordance with the president’s proposal 'Towards a University Committed to Territorial Peace 2017-2022', and with the 'Strategic Plan towards the Bicentennial 2027'.

It should be remembered that the consultation will be held on May 25th, 2017 in each Faculty and the Regionalization Headquarters. For the day program faculties it will be between 8:00AM and 5:00PM. In the night faculty programs the consultation will be carried out from 8:00AM to 8:00PM. The consultation results will be sent by the university Secretary General to each Faculty Council.
