A space to grow, play, and dream! This is the Children’s Sports Development Center for the Unicauca family

From March 3 to 17, 2025, the Division of Recreation and Sports Management opens applications for the Children’s Sports Development Center, aimed at the children of students, professors, administrative staff, and employees of our university. This initiative, framed within the Institutional Development Plan, which promotes Culture and Well-being as drivers of development, seeks to help Unicauca children grow, play, and discover sports as a tool for comprehensive development.

The comprehensive recreation and sports strategy, aimed at children between 7 and 14 years old sons and daughters of students, as well as children and grandchildren of professors, administrative staff, and employees of the University of Cauca seeks to strengthen basic physical skills such as flexibility, speed, strength, and endurance. This is achieved through five sports disciplines: athletics, swimming, gymnastics, a team sport, and a combat sport or martial art, promoting integral development in a fun and learning-focused environment. Sounds great, right?

It is important to clarify that this program is not intended to create formal sports schools in the selected disciplines. Additionally, it is strongly motivated by the desire to contribute to the development and refinement of specific skills through the sports gestures inherent to these activities.

.

From this regional center of thought, committed to the culture and well-being of our community, the University’s most valuable heritage, we aim to benefit Unicauca families by creating an environment where recreation, sports, and physical activity serve as tools for the holistic development of future generations.

If you would like your child or grandchild to be part of this experience, we invite you to complete the following FORM.

We look forward to having you join us on this sports adventure!
