This is how Gerenciarte XVII was experienced: Game Management, Business Strategies for Sporting Success

The Faculty of Accounting, Economic, and Administrative Sciences of the University of Cauca, through the Business Administration program, successfully held the XVII edition of the academic event Gerenciarte, under the theme “Game Management: Business Strategies for Sports Success.”

Over two days, students, professors, entrepreneurs, and speakers participated in a space for reflection on the relationship between organizational management and the sports field, highlighting the importance of developing managerial competencies applied to scenarios of strategy, leadership, and teamwork as pillars of success in the sports domain.

The event, organized by students of the Business Administration program, was consolidated as a space that integrated theory with practice, as participants assumed roles in the planning and logistics of the event, thereby strengthening their competencies in project management, leadership, communication, and coordination of academic and recreational activities.

From sports competitions to academic lectures and integration spaces, Gerenciarte XVII stood out for its dynamism and formative approach, combining theoretical reflection with practice, where attendees experienced learning processes focused on leadership, teamwork, and innovation, in an environment that promoted creativity and participation.

Among the most representative activities were the chess tournament, the calisthenics show, the “Crime Route” intervention, recreational dance, the Aikido demonstration, and commercial showcases, all of which highlighted the convergence between knowledge, entrepreneurship, and passion for sports.

Likewise, high-level academic conferences were held with the participation of speakers such as Sandra Guauña (Cauca League), Alejandro Pazos Galvis (Nestlé), Gonzalo Delgado (Decathlon), Andrés Felipe Campo, Pablo Pulido, and Pablo Jaramillo (Threshold), among other guests, who shared their experiences related to leadership, sports management, and business strategies applied to real-world contexts.

The acting dean of the Faculty, Professor PhD Mauricio Gómez, highlighted that “Gerenciarte is consolidated each year as a space for academic and professional exchange that promotes the comprehensive education of future administrators, combining technical knowledge with creativity and innovation.”

Therefore, with this edition, Gerenciarte XVII reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence, in line with the second strategic axis of the Institutional Development Plan, through its focus on education that generates potential and opportunities, aimed at training professional leaders capable of managing with strategic vision, ethics, and passion, both within and beyond the sports field.
