966 students complete a fundamental stage in their lives, and due to the high number of candidates for collective graduation, the University of Cauca has arranged, for the first time in its history, two separate graduation ceremonies. This decision aims to ensure the solemnity of the moment and allow graduates to share this special occasion with their loved ones.
The ceremonies will take place on Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, 2025. On this occasion, the events will not be organized by faculty but by program, so we invite graduates to check the time and details of their ceremony through the following links to avoid any misunderstandings:
Collective graduations – Friday, March 28
Collective graduations – Saturday, March 29
“This fills us with happiness because we know that for the students, as well as their families, achieving this goal represents immense joy. Furthermore, we are not only celebrating undergraduate graduations but also those of master’s, doctoral, and specialization programs, reaffirming our commitment to education at all levels,” said Dr. Deibar René Hurtado Herrera, Rector of the University of Cauca, visibly moved.
The high number of students participating in these first 2025 collective ceremonies is largely the result of measures implemented by the university administration to ensure timely graduation. Among these actions are the flexibility of preparatory requirements in the Law program and strategies from the Academic Vice-Rector’s Office to offer the Foreign Language Proficiency Test (PSI) more frequently, as well as expanded enrollment in language courses.
Additionally, over the past three years, continuous academic semesters without interruptions have allowed the educational processes to develop on schedule, contributing to a greater number of students successfully completing their university journey.
In line with the above, Dr. Aída Patricia González Nieva, Academic Vice-Rector of the University of Cauca, stated:
“Today we can joyfully share that nearly one thousand Unicauca students will receive their degrees in the ceremonies on March 28 and 29. This is the first time in history that we have had to divide the ceremonies into two days, which fills us with excitement and satisfaction. For the administration, it is gratifying to see how we fulfill our commitment to transforming lives.”
We therefore reiterate to all graduates the importance of knowing the exact date and time of their ceremony to avoid any unforeseen issues and fully enjoy this special moment.
From this house of thought, which is #HeritageOfAll, we celebrate with hearts full of pride this unprecedented event, which we hope will be the first of many. Our commitment is to continue educating professionals with the conviction and skills to contribute to building a fairer and more equitable society, transforming not only their own lives but also those of the people around them through their service.
Congratulations in advance to those who will soon be #ProudlyUnicaucaGraduates! We share in your excitement as you complete this important stage of your academic journey.
