What are you waiting for to answer the ‘call of your life’? Unicauca opens registrations for the first semester of 2025

From Unicauca, we make a call that will shape what is to come: enroll in our undergraduate programs and make your dreams a reality through high-quality public higher education. Registration will be open from October 18 to November 22, 2024, so if you are interested in making one of the best decisions, check the detailed information about the academic offerings available for Popayán and for our campus in Santander de Quilichao.

We know you are facing one of the most important decisions of your life: “What am I going to dedicate myself to?” That’s why, from the Alma Mater of Cauca, we extend an invitation that will undoubtedly mark a significant change in your future. Will you answer our call?

We are waiting for you at one of the best public higher education institutions in the country, an institution approaching its 200th anniversary, which received its High-Quality Accreditation from the Ministry of National Education in 2013, a prestigious distinction renewed in 2019 and currently undergoing the self-evaluation process required to obtain reaccreditation in 2027.

So, if you have decided to answer this call, it is important that you begin by reviewing Academic Agreement 028 of 2024, where the key dates for your admission process are outlined. Remember that the application period will be open from October 18 to November 22. Likewise, Academic Agreement 029 of 2024 details the available programs and the number of spots offered for the first semester of 2025, both in Popayán and at our Santander de Quilichao campus.

Keep in mind that having your ICFES Saber 11 test results is essential, as they are a requirement for starting the admission process.

And because our goal is for more and more people to transform their lives through education at our University, it is important to mention that the University of Cauca offers several options to help prospective students access higher education. What are they?

Here is the list: if you come from a region without higher education institutions (such as the Islands of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina); if you are part of the Afro-descendant population of the Pacific region of Cauca; if you belong to an Indigenous community in Cauca; if you live in marginalized areas of the region; if you are a victim of the armed conflict in Cauca; if you received the Andrés Bello distinction; or if you are a normalista student from one of the educational institutions with which we have an agreement, or a high school graduate from one of the 13 municipalities in northern Cauca, we invite you to check how to apply according to your condition and follow the necessary steps in the following link.

However, it should be noted that simply registering under one of these modalities does not guarantee recognition or automatic admission.

On the other hand, it is important to remember that the Alma Mater of Cauca implements the Tuition-Free Policy established under Decree 1667 of 2021, issued by the National Government through the Ministry of National Education (MEN). This policy has an Operational Regulation, so if you believe you meet the requirements to access this benefit, we invite you to review the related information.

Nevertheless, keep in mind that it is the Ministry of National Education (MEN) that grants this benefit, not the University of Cauca.

Now, there are three programs offered for the first semester of 2025 that require additional aptitude tests. Therefore, if you plan to study Fine Arts, Band Conducting, or the Bachelor’s Degree in Ethnoeducation, we recommend reading about the additional requirements here.
