Masters of Science in Mathematics
The Masters Program in Mathematics is developed in the framework of relations between the basic areas of mathematics: Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, and Topology. It seeks a rigorous training in mathematics, in order to improve the level of training, knowledge, and skills in math professionals requiring advanced knowledge in this area of science.
Profiles:
The Program is aimed at mathematicians, graduates in mathematics education, and other professionals requiring advanced training and knowledge in math or who are interested in this area of science. The student in this Program must be an individual with scientific spirit whose individual fulfillment, or professionally, is in the development of the discipline and his/her social realization in applying his/her knowledge and experience always creatively, and above all, with the modesty that must feel at the complexity of the problems and the vastness of knowledge. Any person wishing to enter this Program will host an intellectual formation where logical rigor, the scientific method, and the continuous work are the keys to successful development of each and every one of the activities defined in the curriculum Master Program. Logical rigor directs knowledge and disciplines imagination, the scientific method encourages healthy criticism and stimulates intuition, and ongoing work strengthens constancy, being one of the basic virtues for any professional who is forming this level.
