Bachelor of Music (BM) in Instrumental Performance

The program of Music in Instrumental Performance is part of the School of Arts of the University of Cauca.  The program was established by means of Decree No. 046 dated August 29 of 2000.  The National Ministry of Education qualified the program through Resolution No. 6506 of October 26 of 2007.  The academic program is designed to train professional musicians in one musical instrument to perform in the different musical genders. 

This academic program is specially designed to train professional musicians to play an instrument.  The professional musicians shall be able to perform in both symphonic or chamber concerts and as soloist . 

The student’s instrumental training among with their individual and group practicing allows them to participate in calls, contests, festivals and other kind of local, national or international events during their undergraduate studies.  Having all this kind of participation continually reinforces the student’s musical training throughout their formative years giving them more opportunities and options when they graduate.
