Chemistry

The program of chemistry is part of the Faculty of Natural and Exact Sciences and Education at the University of Cauca and was created by agreement No. 152 of October 28, 1992 issued by the Superior Council. 

This academic program strives to strengthen the educational, economic and scientific development in the region and find solutions to various regional issues related to application of chemical concepts.  Some applications in the region are agricultural (involving aspects such as chemical analysis, quality determination and soil improvement), environmental (involving aspects such as water analysis and water and soil contamination), food (involving aspects such food quality control for animals and humans), development processes (involving aspects such agrochemical, Organ-metallic Chemistry, natural products chemistry and electro-chemistry).

The Ministry of National Education issued the Qualified Registry No. 3835 of September 05, 2005 to this academic program of the University of Cauca.

Schedule: Day classes.

Modality: The classes are held in a classroom setting. 

Duration: Ten (10) semesters.
