The Philosophy program belongs to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Cauca and was created by Resolution No 041 of August 15, 2000 issued by the Supreme Council.

This academic program is part of the parameters established by Articles 67, 69, 70, 71, and 72 of the Colombian Political Constitution, in which makes reference to education, university autonomy, promotion, and development of culture, the pursuit of knowledge and the protection of cultural heritage.

By Resolution 124 of January 18, 2007, issued by the Ministry of National Education, was granted the Qualified Register to this Academic Program of the University of Cauca.

Schedule: Day classes.

Modality: The classes are held in a classroom setting. 

Duration: Ten (10) semesters.

Admission: Semiannual.
