La Universidad -

23 programs from the nine faculties of the University of Cauca participated in this initial series of workshops aimed at strengthening the training of faculty members from academic programs that are either in the process of accreditation or are already accredited.

The Center for Quality Management and Institutional Accreditation of the University of Cauca held the first series of virtual and face-to-face workshops on October 23rd and 30th, and November 8th and 14th, focusing on training related to learning outcomes within the curricular context.

"The main purpose is to enhance the training of faculty members from academic programs that are undergoing accreditation or are already accredited," stated Professor Alexander Buendía, Director of the Center for Quality Management and Accreditation.

Led by Miguel Ezequiel Badillo, a professor at the National University of Distance Education in Colombia, the workshop primarily aimed to clarify the concept of learning outcomes, their relevance, and their implementation within the academic curricula of each program.

Twenty-three programs from the nine faculties of the University of Cauca took part. "During the session, the faculties addressed how learning outcomes are being managed and conceptualized at a university level. Throughout the workshop, points of convergence regarding the treatment of these outcomes were identified, and the needs to continue strengthening this area were outlined," added the professor.

It is worth noting that a second round of workshops is scheduled for late November and mid-December to further this series, focusing on training related to learning outcomes and curricular context.
