Unicauca prepares to perform COVID19 tests

With the signing of the inter-institutional agreement between the National Institute of Health and the University of Cauca, the Laboratory of Immunology and Molecular Biology of the Faculty of Health Sciences would be certified to carry out tests. At the moment it is in the preparation stage.

 

The University of Cauca received the endorsement to begin the process of implementation of the Immunology Laboratory to carry out the COVID19 tests in Popayán and Cauca, which has certain times that must be met to carry out this type of activity.

 

This was explained by Magister Gloria Ávila, Coordinator of the Laboratory of Immunology and Molecular Biology of the University of Cauca, who indicated that after the signing of the agreement the implementation process will begin, which has assigned times, for which information will be provided, in a timely manner when the appropriate adjustments are made to carry out the COVID19 tests

 

The agreement aims to join technical efforts between the National Institute of Health and the Laboratory of Immunology and Molecular Biology of the University of Cauca to carry out real-time PCR tests in the diagnosis of SARS - CoV2 (COVID19).

 

Once you have the authorization of the National Institute of Health to carry out the COVID19 tests by the Laboratory of Immunology and Molecular Biology of the University of Cauca, you will be notified in a timely manner to carry out the diagnostic process in accordance with the protocols required in control of this pandemic.

 

In this way, the University of Cauca joins other higher education institutions that have been contributing from their laboratories in carrying out the tests by COVID19.
