Universidad del Cauca celebrates the swearing-in ceremony of Law students commencing their judiciary practice.

La Universidad -

In an emotional and meaningful ceremony, the University of Cauca carried out the swearing-in of Law program students who are preparing to commence their judiciary practice. The ceremony, presided over by the Academic Vice Chancellor, Aida Patricia Gonzales Nieva, took place on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Francisco José de Caldas Auditorium.

The swearing-in represents a significant moment in the academic formation of these future legal professionals, marking the beginning of their journey towards legal practice and service to society. The Auditorium, filled with family members, friends, professors, and university authorities, once again became a witness to a solemn commitment and the start of a new stage in the lives of these students.

"The Legal Clinic will give you the opportunity to reflect on the efficiency and effectiveness of conflict resolution mechanisms; at our Popayán headquarters, the Miguel Ángel Zúñiga Conciliation Center operates successfully, where we manage to resolve many conflicts with the same effectiveness that a judgment between parties would have, but without having to set the state judicial system in motion and in record time, compared to a judicial process," mentioned Magda Beatriz Erza, Director of the Legal Clinic at the University of Cauca, during her opening remarks at the ceremony.

Therefore, the swearing-in not only symbolizes the culmination of an academic stage but also the beginning of a career in which each of the students will contribute to strengthening our legal system and the welfare of society. The University of Cauca congratulates each of the students who participated in this ceremony, wishing them the greatest success in their future judiciary endeavors, trusting that they will carry with them the values and knowledge acquired during their time at this esteemed institution, and in their professional practice, they will reaffirm that they have been educated in a University of Excellence and Solidarity.
