The University of Cauca and the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge invite you to help build the National Directory of Arts Educators

La Universidad -

The Directory will be a key resource for developing public policies, continuing existing cultural processes, and planning new initiatives in our communities. It will also provide valuable insights into the current status of arts educators in terms of qualifications, formalization, and experience.

Through the presidential program Sounds for the Construction of Peace – Zone 6, implemented by the University of Cauca in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge, we extend a special invitation to teaching artists and knowledge bearers, as well as cultural managers and educational support personnel from the departments of Cauca, Huila, and Nariño to actively join the National Directory of Arts Educators. This initiative aims to map, highlight, and strengthen the work of those who promote culture across our country, dedicating themselves to artistic and cultural education in their territories.

This effort is part of a strategic initiative to promote peace and social transformation through culture, especially in areas prioritized by the Development Programs with a Territorial Approach (PDET), Zones Affected by Armed Conflict (ZOMAC), and regions with dispersed rural populations. It reaches communities through artistic education as a powerful tool to rebuild the social fabric.

In Zone 6—Cauca, Huila, and Nariño—where culture plays a vital role in resistance and territorial identity, this call represents an opportunity to recognize and strengthen community, artistic, and ancestral processes.

If you are an arts educator or traditional knowledge bearer with certified experience, register through the following link and help us expand this nationwide network of wisdom:
