Abstract

In recent years, blackberry production has gained national significance, reflected in the establishment of specific criteria for its cultivation, production, and export to international markets. Additionally, there are plant health schemes to demonstrate the safety of the product when using inputs, including those supporting plant nutrition. The aim of this researcher was to assess the feasibility of blackberry production using an organic biofertilizer based on sugarcane molasses. The experiment was conducted in a high tunnel production system located in Santiago Maravatio, Guanajuato, Mexico, evaluating five fertilization treatments under a randomized block design. The impact on yield and the quality of fruit obtained in each treatment was measured. Organic fertilization treatments showed a positive effect on yield and fruit quality compared to chemical fertilization. These treatments exceeded yield by 21%, and fruit production with higher anthocyanin, protein, and vitamin C content increased by 90%. The use of organic biofertilizer based on sugarcane molasses contributes to increased yield and enhances the phenolic and organoleptic compound contents in blackberry fruit
