September was a month of elections: Unicauca experienced two highly significant democratic days and, in this article, we formally present the winners of the race, who now assume the responsibility of serving as the voice and vote of the faculty body in the highest governing body of our institution. We begin with Professor Alejandro Toledo Tovar, Master’s degree holder in Telematics Engineering, affiliated with the Department of Telecommunications of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications. In his first words after being elected, he emphasized the importance of dreaming big: “Today, as I assume this representation, I do so with humility and with the certainty that academic leadership can transform realities. We are in the Bicentennial. And our University of Cauca, with its living history and public vocation, deserves to be dreamed of on a grand scale. Let us continue building with heart, with reason, and with the pride of belonging to this home that unites us. Infinite thanks for your trust.”
