University of Cauca Graduates of the Doctorate in Electronic Sciences affiliated with institutions working in Human–Computer Interaction

The Human–Computer Interaction Association (AIPO) and the Latin American Center for Informatics Studies now include members of the Unicauca community in their various decision-making and workspaces.

Institutions such as the Association for Human-Computer Interaction (AIPO) and the Latin American Center for Computer Science Studies appoint graduates of the Doctorate in Electronic Sciences from the University of Cauca to their leadership and working groups. In this context, the Association for Human-Computer Interaction (AIPO) announced the incorporation of Professor Gustavo Eduardo Constaín Moreno to its Board of Directors, where he assumes representation for Latin America. Likewise, they participate in the Working Group at the Latin American Center for Computer Science Studies, which includes graduates of this graduate program and Professor and researcher César Alberto Collazos.

The Association for Human-Computer Interaction (AIPO) is a well-recognized academic organization that promotes the study and development of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in Spain and Ibero-America. With the appointment of Professor Gustavo Eduardo Constaín Moreno as its representative for Latin America, the connection between researchers, educators, and professionals in the region and this prestigious academic network is further strengthened.

Gustavo Eduardo Constaín Moreno, a graduate of the Doctorate in Electronic Sciences from the University of Cauca and an active member of the IDIS research group (Research and Development in Software Engineering) within the Faculty of Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering, has a strong background in research and teaching in the field of Human-Computer Interaction. His experience and leadership are expected to contribute to the growth and consolidation of AIPO in Latin America, promoting initiatives that support academic development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the dissemination of knowledge in the field.

For its part, AIPO, with its commitment to fostering research and innovation, celebrates the inclusion of Professor Gustavo Eduardo Constaín Moreno, who will play a key role in expanding the network in the region and creating opportunities for professionals interested in this discipline.

Additionally, the Human-Computer Interaction Working Group of the Latin American Center for Computer Science Studies (CLEI), known as GT11, has been established. It includes Professor César Alberto Collazos from the Systems Engineering program, along with Doctorate graduates Vanessa Agredo, Mauricio Ramírez, Gustavo Eduardo Constaín Moreno, and Andrés Solano. This group aims to strengthen teaching and learning processes, disseminate research activities in the area of Human-Computer Interaction, and serve as a space for discussion and reflection on the future of the field at the Ibero-American level.

The activities carried out within this Working Group are aligned with many of the initiatives developed within the IDIS Group (Research and Development in Software Engineering) and the Doctorate in Electronic Sciences program at the University of Cauca. They reflect the research work that the IDIS Group has been leading for many years, not only nationally but also internationally.

In this way, graduates and professors of the Doctorate in Electronic Sciences from the University of Cauca become actively involved in these organizations, which address highly significant topics such as teaching and learning processes and research activities in the field of Human-Computer Interaction.
