We were the epicenter of a great exchange of linguistic knowledge! This is how a renowned event was experienced at our Santander de Quilichao Campus

The 3rd National Meeting of Teaching and Research Experiences in Languages, Santander de Quilichao, held at the University of Cauca’s campus located in this municipality in the north of the department, brought together a large audience of attendees during two days of pure magic.

Motivated and committed to generating enriching academic experiences, on November 14 and 15, 2024, the Santander de Quilichao Campus of the University of Cauca held the 3rd National Meeting of Teaching and Research Experiences in Languages.

Se trató de un espacio gestado con el objetivo de socializar, promover y poner en contexto el quehacer y los procesos de estudiantes, profesores, investigadores, instituciones educativas y profesionales en idiomas a nivel regional y nacional en torno a las lenguas como el castellano, las lenguas nativas colombianas y lenguas extranjeras como el inglés y el francés: ¡un escenario de fortalecimiento muy interesante!

El evento, organizado por el programa de Licenciatura en Lenguas Modernas con Énfasis en Inglés y Francés en la modalidad de Regionalización, con el apoyo del Centro de Educación Continua, Abierta y Virtual – CECAV de Unicauca, contó con 20 presentaciones, 15 ponencias, 4 talleres y 1 sesión que abordó temáticas como experiencias educativas, proyectos de clase y procesos investigativos en lenguas.

“These types of spaces represent the materialization of processes that have been envisioned since the program’s opening in 2013. They have allowed us to grow in enrollment, serve a larger population, better understand the needs of the community, and enable our professors to have a much clearer perspective of the reality we face and the challenges ahead of us, finding tools to address them,” stated Cristian Fernando Salazar, event coordinator and professor of the Modern Languages program at Unicauca’s Northern Campus.

At the University of Cauca, we deeply value the development of these spaces and academic gatherings, as they foster an enriching exchange of knowledge and experiences among students, professors, and researchers, contributing significantly to their personal and professional growth.
