Holy Week is approaching, and with it, the agenda that the University of Cauca has prepared for all ages is shaping up to be a must-see in the coming days. As every year, Holy Week claims its place in Popayán, and the white city becomes the epicenter of a celebration and commemoration of faith that unfolds in the streets, homes, and Faculties of our institution. For one week, the University of Cauca also becomes a stage for various expressions of culture, art, and religion.

If you prefer to enjoy the program remotely, Unicauca Estéreo will have a special schedule to accompany audiences throughout the week via 104.1 FM in Popayán and 93.6 FM in Santander de Quilichao. From Monday to Wednesday at noon, there will be live broadcasts from different points in the city: the Banco de la República Square (Monday), Bazartes (Tuesday), and ExpoFondeuc (Wednesday). In addition, on Thursday and Friday, the program will feature special radio segments to continue connecting with and informing the community. Finally, we invite you to join the Procession of the Holy Sepulchre on Good Friday (April 3), a tradition in which the University of Cauca has participated as a reflection of its historical connection with the city of Popayán and its Holy Week. As is customary, the Rector of the Institution, accompanied by administrators and students with the highest academic averages, will have the honor of carrying the banner, representing the members of the University of Cauca in this important manifestation. As you can see, the Alma Mater caucana once again joins this tradition that is part of the cultural and religious identity of Popayán, inviting the entire university community and the general public to experience Holy Week as a space for encounter, reflection, culture, and heritage. The University’s doors will be open so that both locals and visitors can be part of this agenda designed for everyone. Follow us on our social media and on the radio station to experience Holy Week from a different perspective!
