The Eighth International Congress on Ambient Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Electronic and Mobile Health—AmiTIC 2025—was held from September 24 to 26 in the city of Neiva, Colombia. This event, endorsed by IEEE and organized by the Surcolombiana University, brought together researchers, academics, and students from various countries around innovation, research, and technological development, consolidating itself as a benchmark space for the scientific community in the field of engineering and emerging technologies.
In this edition, the University of Cauca was represented by five papers resulting from research projects conducted by undergraduate and graduate students from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications (FIET), under the supervision of PhD. César Jesús Pardo Calvache, professor of the Department of Systems. Some of these works were developed in collaboration with PhD. Elizabeth Suescún, from EAFIT University, and PhD. Vladimir Villarreal, from the Technological University of Panama.
