During the month of October, Professor César Alberto Collazos, affiliated with the Systems Department of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications at the University of Cauca and coordinator of the IDIS group (Research and Development in Software Engineering), was invited as a panelist and speaker at various scientific and academic events held in Portugal, Peru, and Mexico.
In this regard, Professor Collazos participated as a speaker at the 23rd European Conference on e-Learning, which took place on October 24 and 25 in Porto, Portugal. At this event, he delivered the talk “Collaborative Games as a Mechanism Supporting Monitoring and Evaluation of Collaborative Learning Processes,” in which he presented the research advances developed within the IDIS Group and the Doctoral Program in Electronic Sciences at the University of Cauca, regarding the use of computer technologies to support teaching–learning processes through collaborative strategies. Also participating in this event were the speakers Marta Mena, professor at the National University of Tres de Febrero in Argentina, and António M. Teixeira from Universidade Aberta in Portugal.
In turn, at CONTIE-2024 (VII International Conference on Inclusive Technologies and Education), held from October 23 to 25 in Lima, Peru, the professor presented two talks: one focused on the development of technology from a human-centered approach, and another aimed at providing a critical analysis of the impact of Artificial Intelligence on education.
Finally, in Mexico, during the SOMECE202R and JISAE2024 sessions held in Puebla, Professor Collazos was one of the keynote speakers, delivering a talk on new forms of interaction with Artificial Intelligence. He also participated as one of the panelists in the forum “The Relationship Between Industry and Universities for a Dual Education Model: Experiences from Latin America and Germany,” which also featured representatives from Volkswagen Mexico, Professor Juan M. González from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, and Cristian Sturm from the Technical University of Ingolstadt, Germany.
