The Master’s Program in Mathematical Sciences is developed within the framework of the relationships among the basic areas of mathematics: Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, and Topology.

It aims to provide rigorous advanced training in mathematics in order to enhance the level of education, knowledge, and preparation in mathematics of professionals who require advanced studies in this area of science.

General Objective of the Program

Specific Objectives

Develop advanced skills in Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, and Topology, enabling students to address complex mathematical problems with rigor and depth.
Train professionals to conduct research and develop innovative solutions in sectors that require in-depth mathematical knowledge, contributing to the advancement of the discipline.
Enhance graduates’ academic and professional careers by preparing them to excel in science, technology, and other fields that require a high level of mathematical competence.

Graduate Profile

Graduates of this program should have the ability and potential to understand and identify the role mathematics plays in the practice of their profession, make well-founded judgments and assessments, and be prepared to appropriately apply their knowledge and skills in various individual and collective situations.
These competencies will be developed through each of the courses, seminars, and other academic activities in the program by demonstrating different mathematical concepts in the study and application of mathematical processes such as identifying properties, making generalizations, evaluating calculations, modeling, and decision-making.

Graduates are highly qualified to assume diverse and strategic roles in the fields of human development and health. Their ability to manage contract oversight processes in the public sector positions them as key supervisors in the implementation and evaluation of projects related to human development and health. In addition, as research and consulting experts, these graduates possess advanced competencies in the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of research projects, enabling them to provide consulting and strategic advice on the development and implementation of innovative educational and health strategies.
