Program Description

The Specialization Program in Community Education emerged from the need to contribute to and enrich the training processes of new education professionals through reflection on pedagogical and educational practices, with the aim of developing qualified professionals in the human, academic, and research dimensions.

The Specialization Program in Community Education seeks to develop in participants the attitudes, foundations, and tools needed to understand the evolution of popular and community-based educational issues, as well as to design and support improvement and innovation processes.

The Specialization Program is presented as a fundamental academic option for those seeking not only to enrich their education but also to make a significant contribution to the social fabric. This program offers a unique opportunity to actively participate in community transformation while developing essential leadership and communication skills that are critical in the field of community education.

General Objective of the Program

Contribute to the training of reflective educators committed to processes aimed at transforming local, regional, and national issues, enabling them to contribute to the development of high-quality educational actions. This, in turn, will have an impact on educational, pedagogical, popular, and community-based management, with the purpose of supporting the design, development, and systematization of pedagogical and sociocultural processes in the field of popular and community education.

Specific Objectives

Develop leadership and communication skills to strengthen students’ ability to implement effective strategies in community education.
Foster inclusivity and community participation by acquiring specialized knowledge that enables students to contribute to sustainable development in educational settings.
Train professionals in innovative and socially responsible practices, aligning their education with current labor market demands in the field of community education.

Critical and creative in addressing educational processes that contribute to fostering autonomy and the full development of human beings, as well as in providing advisory services to public and private institutions and social organizations that require support in the field of popular education.
