Flag

It was adopted by the University of Cauca Governing Council through Agreement No. 75 of November 7, 1922, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the University’s founding.

The flag consists of twelve blue and red stripes of equal width, arranged alternately and positioned perpendicular to the flagpole.

Coat of Arms

It was adopted by the University of Cauca Governing Council through Agreement No. 75 of November 7, 1922. It features a hand holding a torch, surrounded by the Latin phrase “Posteris lumen moriturus edat” (“Let whoever is to die leave their light to posterity”).

Visual Identity Manual

In compliance with Law 2345, also known as the “Goodbye Brands” Law (Chao Marcas), this Visual Identity Manual includes guidelines for image management as well as standards for the use of the University’s visual identity. These guidelines ensure the clear and consistent communication of the University’s institutional philosophy and regulate the use of its corporate identity across a variety of materials, including letterheads, signage, identification apparel, printed materials, and digital platforms, among others, which are essential for strengthening the University’s reputation among its target audiences.

Anthem

The University of Cauca Anthem was composed by Maestro Avelino Paz, one of the greatest musical composers from the Cauca region of all time, while its lyrics were written by the poet Guillermo Valencia, one of the most distinguished writers from Popayán in the city’s history. The anthem was first performed on November 11, 1922, during the celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the University of Cauca.
