Considering Agreement No. 017 of 2011 of the Academic Council, which regulates the issuance of academic certificates and official statements signed by the Division of Admissions, Registration and Academic Control (DARCA), it establishes that the Head of the Division of Admissions, Registration and Academic Control is responsible for signing academic certificates and official statements for active and withdrawn undergraduate and graduate students, as well as graduates of the University of Cauca.

In the case of Alumni, the issuance of certificates will be subject to the existence of their Academic Record in the archives of the Division of Admissions, Registration and Academic Control. In its absence, the respective Faculty or academic unit will be responsible for certifying the requested information.

For the issuance of certificates and/or official statements, DARCA has established the following process: Click here

Verifications and Duplicates
Degree Verifications and Issuance of Copies of the Graduation Certificate

The process for verifying academic degrees for alumni graduates and/or entities that intend to employ University of Cauca alumni, as well as the issuance of copies of graduation certificates, is managed by the Institution’s General Secretariat. Therefore, the process may be carried out in person at Street 5 No. 4-70, Santo Domingo Cloister, or virtually through the following email address: verificaciones@unicauca.edu.co

Once the request has been submitted, the payment receipt will be issued or sent by email. Degree verification costs 35,000 pesos, and a copy of the graduation certificate costs 116,000 pesos. Once the payment has been made, the receipt must be submitted to the General Secretariat or sent to the email address mentioned above, along with a copy of the identification document, the graduation date, and a contact telephone number.

Once the General Secretariat has completed the information verification process, the certificate or copy of the Graduation Certificate will be delivered by email or in person, according to the applicant’s preference.

Copy of the Graduation Diploma

A copy of the undergraduate or graduate diploma is issued to the applicant when the original diploma has been lost, damaged, or when there has been a name change. To do so, the following process must be followed:

Receives the request for a duplicate diploma using Form PE-GE-2.1.2-FOR5: Request for a duplicate diploma, and verifies compliance with the requirements for the issuance of a duplicate diploma.

Proof of payment for the Duplicate Diploma. The payment receipt is issued by any University of Cauca unit that has access to the SQUID collection application.

The applicant must arrange for the preparation of the new diploma. (See the list of calligraphers on the General Secretariat’s notice board or click here).

When the diploma has deteriorated or suffered irreparable damage, the applicant must return the original diploma to the General Secretariat of the University of Cauca.

When there has been a change to the holder’s first or last name, the applicant must return the original diploma to the General Secretariat.

Once the requirements have been met and the documentation has been submitted to the General Secretariat office (Street 5 No. 4-70, Santo Domingo Cloister), this unit will process the duplicate and obtain the signatures for the applicant’s new diploma for its subsequent delivery.
