The University of Cauca strengthens institutional efficiency with training sessions for supervisors

Within the framework of the commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency in university management, the Administrative Vice-Rectory Office of the University of Cauca has been carrying out a training process for administrative staff who perform supervisory functions, as well as for contractors designated to support contractual supervision. The objective of this training is to strengthen competencies and knowledge related to the exercise of contractual and post-contractual supervision, enabling a proactive role in the fulfillment of their duties and in decision-making.

With this initiative, the Administrative Vice-Rectory Office generates preventive and informative actions aimed at avoiding sanctions for personnel who carry out supervisory duties and for the institution, ensuring that contract execution is carried out in a technical, administrative, financial, and legal manner, preventing breaches and facilitating problem-solving.

To date, more than 60 supervisors have actively participated in these training sessions, which address topics related to the functions and responsibilities of the supervisor, the development of practical supervision cases, optimization of the financial closing process, and the stages of the payment process, key aspects related to contractual supervision.

In this way, the Administrative Vice-Rectory Office will continue promoting these training initiatives, with the conviction that strengthening human talent capacities is key to optimizing contractual supervision functions, fostering a more efficient, transparent management aligned with institutional principles. An effort that will undoubtedly be reflected in continuous improvement processes and positive results in audits carried out by oversight bodies.
