Students from Unicauca celebrate Entrepreneurship Fair in Santander de Quilichao

Unicauca North Campus holds a showcase of business ideas and entrepreneurship projects.

At the Northern Campus of the University of Cauca, the Entrepreneurship Fair was held on November 18, led by students of one of the electives of the Agroindustrial Engineering program. This initiative seeks to promote innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit among Unicauca students, with a proposal focused on promoting and supporting ventures created by students, as well as by a number of local entrepreneurs and merchants from the northern region of the department of Cauca.

This showcase of business ideas and entrepreneurial projects aims to strengthen a culture of entrepreneurship among those being trained at the University of Cauca, while also serving as a platform where invited entrepreneurs from the northern part of the department shared their services and experiences with those who are just beginning this journey.

The Entrepreneurship Fair is organized by Agroindustrial Engineering students from the Northern Campus who are enrolled in the professional elective “Entrepreneurship,” taken in the ninth semester. Through this event, they provide a platform to present ideas and projects to the academic community, with the goal of fostering the development of creative solutions that positively impact the social and economic environment of Santander de Quilichao and Northern Cauca.

Among the featured projects were financial services, food products, handicrafts, cleaning items, fashion, cosmetics, and works developed by Agroindustrial Engineering students. The event had a remarkable turnout, reaching an approximate attendance of 500 people, who enjoyed visiting the different stands and had the opportunity to learn about and taste the products offered.
