Graduation Procedures


Until Friday, June 5, 2026, students must request from their respective Faculty a Curriculum Vitae review for the issuance of the Academic Clearance Certificate. Curriculum Vitae Review for Graduation Form	Faculties send the list of graduation candidates via email to: Graduate Studies and the Financial Division, for the issuance of Clearance Certificates.	Both Clearance Certificates (Academic and Financial) must be physically delivered to the student by the Faculties, the Financial Division, and the Graduate Studies Center.	Submission of all documents in physical format and in person at 5th Street # 4 – 70, University of Cauca. The required documents are specified in the following form: PE-GE-2-1.2-FOR-1- Version 7- Graduation Application	Graduation Date Venue: Main Auditorium: “Paraninfo Francisco José de Caldas”
Applies to thesis defenses approved by May 29, 2026.	Tuesday, June 19, 2026	Tuesday, August 5, 2026	Thursday, August 6, 2026	Friday, September 4, 2026

Taking into account the scheduled dates for submitting documents, they must be submitted to the General Secretariat of the University of Cauca, located at 5th Street No. 4 – 70, second floor. All requirements must be submitted in their original form and on letter-size paper.

The student must go to the Faculty and begin the graduation process by requesting a Curriculum Vitae review, and continue the process according to the dates scheduled above and published on the University of Cauca website – GRADUATION banner.

Graduate Program Graduation Requirements:

Graduation Application Form (PE-GE-2-1.2-FOR-1- Version 7), completed either on a computer or with a black-ink pen, legibly, without alterations or correction fluid. This form must be downloaded through the website using the link of this unit, through the LVMEN Platform, or from the GRADUATION Banner (it must be printed on a single letter-size sheet, front and back). The ICFES registration number (State examinations taken in high school), as well as the ECAES registration number and ECAES average score, are mandatory for all undergraduate graduation candidates.
Academic Clearance Certificate: For the issuance of this Clearance Certificate, undergraduate students must submit to their Faculty the proof of having taken the PRO (ECAES) examinations, provided they completed their coursework on or after October 14, 2009. Decree 3963 of 2009 - Article 8: “Taking the Higher Education Quality Examination referred to in this decree shall apply as an additional graduation requirement for students who had not completed their study plan before October 14, 2009.”

The student receives the Academic Clearance Certificate from their Faculty. For graduate students, the Clearance Certificate is issued by the Graduate Studies Center, and they do not require an ICFES registration number or an ECAES registration number (please do not enter them).
Financial Clearance Certificate: The student receives the Clearance Certificate from the Financial Division.
One (1) photocopy of the identity document, enlarged to 150%, legible, and showing both sides on one side of a letter-size sheet.

Note: Anyone holding a temporary identification document must submit an enlarged photocopy specifying the place of issuance of the identity document, since this information is not indicated on the temporary identification document.
One (1) recent 3 x 4 cm photograph, in color or black and white, must be attached in the space indicated on the Graduation Application Form – Version 7. Scanned or outdated photographs will not be accepted.
Proof of Payment for Graduation Fees: The payment receipt must be requested from each Faculty, paid, and then attached in the center of a letter-size sheet. It should be noted that the payment voucher must also be attached if the payment is made through PSE.

Note: The electronic invoice sent by the Financial Division to email addresses after payment is made through PSE is not a graduation requirement and therefore should not be attached.
Parchment Diploma: For its preparation, consult only the official list of calligraphers published on the General Secretariat notice board.
Student ID Card: This card will not be returned. If it has been lost, you must sign in the space indicated in item 8 of the Graduation Application Form - Version 7.

A student who submits fraudulent information will not be eligible to receive the professional degree, and the appropriate actions will be taken against them. The graduation ceremony time and protocol will be published approximately three or four days before the graduation ceremonies on the University of Cauca website and at the General Secretariat.
