SIVRI is an information system composed of an application and a SOAP web service that enables:

– Management of users authorized to access the system.

– User authentication and access control to system resources.

– Management and monitoring of Research Groups.

– Management and monitoring of research groups.

– Management and monitoring of projects.

– Management and monitoring of Research Calls.

– Linking projects to research calls and monitoring their progress.

– Management and tracking of requests.

– Management of budgets assigned to projects.

– Communication with SIMCA regarding the workload hours assigned to faculty members participating in ongoing projects.

– Generation of reports on academic activities.

The system has been developed in Java using JDK 1.7 and the JSF and PrimeFaces 7 frameworks. It runs on the Apache Tomcat application server and is based on a layered architecture.
