Through Agreement No. 003 of 2012, the Alumni Area was formalized within the organizational structure of the University of Cauca as a unit attached to the Academic Vice-Rectorate. In November 2017, the Alumni Policy was presented to the Higher Council, with the following objective: The University of Cauca Alumni Policy will be implemented through communication and engagement strategies with its alumni, thereby enabling the development of joint programs, projects, and actions that respond to the needs and expectations of both its alumni and their forms of organization, as well as those of the University, its faculties, departments, and academic programs.
