The Center for Continuing, Open, and Virtual Education, CECAV, is a unit under the Academic Vice-Rector’s Office, established by Superior Agreement No. 006 of January 29, 2013. It began its activities in the first semester of 2013 as a service, support, and assistance mechanism for the University’s Academic Units, aimed at the successful development of their non-formal education courses, programs, and events.

Its work focuses on the planning, promotion, direction, coordination, and evaluation of continuing and virtual education programs, based on collaborative work with the University’s different academic units. This makes it a fundamental pillar in addressing the ongoing need for updating and professional development among thousands of users at the local, national, and international levels, maintaining its quality standards through the continuous improvement of the university community and the general public, and establishing educational activities that contribute to strengthening their skills and competencies in various fields of knowledge.
