Through the Saber 11 courses, students with a low level of qualifications are given the opportunity to acquire new competencies, enabling them to face the exam more effectively and, consequently, to think about their professional life project and the perspective from which they wish to understand the world as part of their educational process, identifying its future impact and the connections they develop with each particular topic. In this way, the courses contribute to helping students become responsible and constructive members of society in the various fields in which they will fulfill their roles as professionals.
Likewise, this course seeks to train students in all the areas that will be assessed in the exam. Through practice tests with the same structure and topics, students can prepare to take the actual exam.
Train students through in-person courses to strengthen their competencies for the Saber 11 exam offered by the University of Cauca.
Prepare students to address the competencies assessed in the mathematics test, which are: interpretation and representation, formulation and execution, and argumentation.
Prepare students to address the competencies assessed in the physics test, which are: comprehensive use of scientific knowledge, explanation of phenomena, and inquiry.
They are technically defined as courses providing a comprehensive, integrated, and practical overview of aspects related to a profession or job performance.
It is a program of at least 120 academic hours that enables students to develop a specific task within their area of interest and, upon completion, receive a certificate of participation. Its methodology is based on thematic models, a combination of theoretical and practical components, lectures or talks given by instructors with the active participation of students, and practical exercises. Compared with other courses, diploma programs have the advantage of a greater number of instructional hours, in-depth coverage of the subject matter, and, naturally, excellent-quality speakers selected through a thorough and rigorous selection process.
These are training or professional development programs with a maximum duration of ninety (90) hours, aimed at updating knowledge, exchanging knowledge and expertise, and promoting personal development. In this area, each undergraduate program may offer courses or subjects from its study plans, either in whole or in part, to anyone interested in taking them, with no prerequisites, simply because they wish to learn something new to enhance their knowledge, competencies, and skills. This area has a potential offering of more than 200 courses.
It includes introductory-level undergraduate and graduate courses in different fields of knowledge that do not require prerequisites for enrollment. They do not award credits or grades and are not part of any regular program; therefore, they do not lead to the award of a degree.
These are learning, discussion, and in-depth exploration events featuring regional, national, and international speakers who contribute to strengthening academic communities.
