Information for Special Cases – Transfers – Andrés Bello Distinction – High School Graduates from the 13 municipalities in the northern part of the department of Cauca, Immediate Transition to Higher Education Program – PTIES, Normal School Graduates 1st and 5th semester:
If your registration is under any of these modalities, you may choose to submit the documentation through the virtual tool established by the university. For this process, an email will be sent along with the link to upload the documents until Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 5:00 P.M.
NOTE: Submitting documents through the Google form does not exempt you from the responsibility of submitting the physical documents within the dates indicated by the Division of Admissions, once classes begin and as requested in the form (a copy or the original of each document).
Completed Special Case Registration Application.
Certificate of study for the last three years of high school, issued by the educational institution located in one of the departments where there are no higher education institutions.

Certificación de estudio de los tres últimos años de bachillerato, expedida por la instituciones educativas ubicadas en la costa pacífica del Departamento del Cauca, Guapi, Timbiquí y López de Micay.

Provide written documentation certifying active membership in the Indigenous council.
Endorsement from the Assembly for application to the undergraduate programs offered by the University of Cauca.

Certificate of study for the last three years of high school, issued by the educational institutions located on the Pacific coast of the Department of Cauca, Guapi, Timbiquí, and López de Micay.
Registration application – Regionalization Undergraduate Programs – Santander de Quilichao – Municipalities in the northern part of the Department of Cauca, completed.

Registration application – Normal School Graduate, completed.

Copy of the registration payment receipt, duly paid
Original certificate of completion of the Complementary Cycle at a Higher Normal School Educational Institution
Registration application – PTIES, completed.

Submit a copy of the high school diploma or graduation certificate.
The applicant must meet the requirements established in Academic Agreement No. 013 of 2018.
The applicant must have registered for the undergraduate programs offered by the University of Cauca for the respective academic term.
The applicant must have obtained a score equal to or higher than that of the last admitted applicant to the first semester of the program for which they are applying for admission by transfer.
The applicant must not have lost the right to continue their studies at the higher education institution of origin for academic reasons.
The applicant must have passed 30% of the credits corresponding to the study plan of the program completed at the university of origin.
The arithmetic average of the final grades in the courses taken at the higher education institution of origin must not be lower than three point five (3.5).
The courses for which credit is requested must have been passed. A course or subject is considered passed when, in accordance with the regulations of the Institution where it was taken, it has received such a grade. However, if the Faculty to which the transfer is requested finds that the objectives, content, or intensity of a course differ from those of the course offered in its study plan, it may require validation examinations.
The applicant must not have been subject to disciplinary sanctions at the higher education institution of origin.
The transfer application must have been submitted within the dates established by the University of Cauca according to the registration schedule for each academic term, accompanied by the duly legalized documentation.
Applicants registered under this modality must submit the document or resolution by which the Colombian Institute for the Promotion of Higher Education – ICFES granted them the Andrés Bello Distinction. Applies only to the National or Departmental categories. Admission will be granted only once and during the two (2) years following the granting of the distinction.
The University warns that simply registering under any of these modalities does not mean automatic recognition.
The University will assign the status of registered under the Special Case, Transfer, Andrés Bello, PTIES, and Normal School Graduate 1st and 5th semester modalities only when the applicant fulfills and provides evidence of compliance with the required requirements before the Division of Admissions, Academic Registration and Control, within the deadlines established in the admission process schedule.
In the event of failure to comply with any of the requirements or with the deadline established in the admission process schedule, the applicant will be registered in accordance with Article 28 of Academic Agreement No. 013 of 2018.
