Learn Without Stress and Teach with Love

Within the framework of one of the University administration’s strategic pillars, “A supportive University committed to its environment,” the University of Cauca is committed to providing relevant educational services to young people in the municipalities of the Department of Cauca, in order to mitigate the problems affecting educational coverage and quality, helping to overcome the gap between rural and urban education.

Problem

The low transition rate to higher education in municipalities far from major urban centers significantly limits opportunities to access this level of education.

Objective

Support the educational and training processes of students and teachers in upper secondary education at educational institutions in the municipalities of the Department of Cauca, aimed at improving the transition rate to higher education.

Specific Objectives

Strengthen the pedagogical and methodological competencies of teachers in the municipalities of the Department of Cauca.
Implementation of an academic assessment for students taking the Saber 11 examinations, updated to reflect the specific regional dynamics of the territories and regions of the Department of Cauca.
Strengthen the academic competencies of upper secondary education students in the municipalities of the Pacific Coast, Northern, Central, and Southern Nodes of the Department of Cauca.

Academic Program

At this stage, the aim is to strengthen the competencies of upper secondary education students through the development of academic competencies in the relevant subject areas and the proposed activities.

Communication Skills

Develops aspects related to reading comprehension, oral and written expression, teamwork, as well as the criteria and skills for searching, selecting, and organizing information.

Natural Sciences

Conception of life and the interaction of biotic and abiotic factors that seek to explain the essence of life.

Learning Strategies

It involves activities aimed at strengthening self-esteem and organizing one's life project. It also addresses interpersonal relationships and mental operations, as well as the identification and implementation of learning tools and styles, along with study habits.
