The Legal Office of the University of Cauca aims to familiarize students with the techniques of professional practice before judicial officials. It includes the provision of legal advice, permitted legal representation, and procedural actions.

Our History

1998

The University of Cauca began its permanent presence in Santander de Quilichao in 1998 with the purchase of its first campus, known as "La Casona," which is located in the central area of the municipal capital, next to the main park. This building, with more than 200 years of history, is recognized as part of the city's architectural heritage and houses one of the eighteen (18) fountains of Santander de Quilichao's first public water system.

2012

Until 2012, within this beautiful facility and as part of the institutional decentralization process, the University offered the degree programs in Ethnoeducation, Agroindustrial Technology, and Telematics Technology as single cohorts, and developed extension and continuing education programs.

2013

Beginning in 2013, with the adoption of a new concept of Regionalization, which involved the establishment of the Regionalization Center to coordinate the creation and operation of true campuses where the University could develop its own infrastructure and fully deploy its institutional capabilities, the permanent offering of undergraduate programs began. To this end, the University launched the Law program, offered in both daytime and evening schedules, and the Modern Languages (English–French) degree program, both of which had received High-Quality Accreditation recognition from the Ministry of National Education.
