Program Overview

The program is administered by the Faculty of Arts at the University of Cauca and was established by Academic Council Agreement No. 046 of August 29, 2000. This academic program is designed to train professional musicians in instrumental performance within various musical ensemble formats, including symphonic and chamber ensembles, as well as in solo performance on certain instruments.

The purpose of an instrumental musician is to bring visibility to the work of composers throughout the history of music. The performer brings this musical discourse to life through sound while preserving their own personal essence, allowing listeners to experience the music.
