III Congress on Tourism for Memory as a Tool for Peace, Resilience and Reconciliation

Organized by: Department of Tourism Sciences of the University of Cauca, Agency for Reincorporation and Normalization (ARN), Unit for Victims, and Colegio Mayor University of Cundinamarca.

The Department of Tourism Sciences of the University of Cauca and the organizing committee invite the university community to participate in the III Congress on Tourism for Memory as a Tool for Peace, Resilience and Reconciliation: Tourism and Sustainable Transformation, which will take place in the city of Popayán from November 19 to 21, 2025.

This academic and cultural gathering seeks to promote a space for dialogue, reflection and collective construction regarding the role of tourism in historical memory, social reconciliation and the sustainable development of territories.

The Congress will feature the participation of national and international speakers, community experiences, tourism ventures, cultural exhibitions and exchange spaces among academia, society and the productive sector.

We invite students, faculty members, graduates, researchers and institutional partners to take part in this important event that promotes tourism as a path toward peace and territorial transformation.
