In the interpretation and application of the disciplinary regime, the guiding principles contained in the Political Constitution, this Special Regime, the General Disciplinary Code, as well as international treaties and agreements ratified by Colombia, shall prevail. In matters not provided for in the Special Regime of the University of Cauca and the General Disciplinary Code, the provisions of the Code of Administrative Procedure and Administrative Litigation, the General Procedural Code, the Criminal Code, and the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as any regulations that amend or replace them, shall apply insofar as they do not contravene the nature of disciplinary law.
